Final front cover.

Here is the final front cover I chose for Attire magazine. I decided not to go for a celeb on the front cover after Saul Morgan took this great shot at the studio shoot and I just needed to use it! Plus, I wanted the front cover image to express the aim and feel of the magazine, i.e. a fashion magazine, therefore, decided to use a fashion image!

Summer photo shoot.

So the last time I left off I was updating you all with the progress and styling look we were going for, for the summer shoot, which was going to be shot inside a studio. It was such a great shoot! Me and Sedge Beswick styled the shoot, with a lot of the clothes coming from Primark (bargains!) to ensure high street fashion would feature in the mag. The models Ciaran and Hayden were great too even though they hadn't modelled before, we had a lot of fun! And the photographer Saul Morgan did a great job. So here are some of the images that made the final magazine.

Slacking.

I feel very appalled by my lack of blogging. It's been a whole month and I haven't updated you with the progress and finish of my final magazine project. It has been a whirlwind of a month and therefore, cracked down with finishing all my final uni work, which meant the blog had to take a back seat. Therefore, I will now hopefully fill you all in on where we last left off! And you can also see some snaps of the final mag.

Oliver Spencer.

One of our tutors at university is the owner of MOM agency, who look after Oliver Spencer, so I decided to have a browse at his website for inspirations on summery tailoring, for the up coming shoot we are doing on Friday. And found these images under his collections which would fit perfectly for the shoot. His clothes are also rather lush, simple yet still trendy. And he also recently collaborated with Topman for a shoe range.

Harley Davidson shoot.

So once again I've been neglecting my blog; due to deadline being just 2 weeks away now, and my perception that making a magazine would be quite easy, do not ask me what I was thinking!
So firstly, here are some images from the Harley Davidson shoot that Sam Kirby shot. He has done an amazing job at editing the images and I love them all. These are only a few teaser images as haven't got them all through yet, so enjoy!

Behind the scenes.

So, it has been a very long while since I have blogged about anything! Work deadline is looming and it has been a long birthday weekend so I haven't had enough time in my days. But Tuesday was the Harley Davidson shoot which was immense. We were meant to shoot in Coco-tang bar with a Harley bike but the owner of the bike let us down, so Sedge being the amazing blagger she is, got the Harley Davidson garage in Nottingham to let us do our whole shoot in there! Being surrounded by the most sexy looking bikes was one of the highlights of the days and I cannot wait to see the final pictures! We had an amazing photographer Sam Kirby who is going to try and edit the images asap so when we get hold of them I'll put some up, but for the mean time here is some of Sedges behind the shoot piccies.

You can tell a lot from a man's shoes.

I've always thought you can tell a lot about a person from the shoes they wear. So I came across Tommy Ton's style blog for GQ, who went around New York and London Fashion Week, in Feb 2010 and took photo's of men with style. This is the type of article that would fit in the magazine, a trend article from the street, who's wearing what. I really like the idea of focusing on one type of product, i.e. shoes. Here are some pictures from Tommy Ton.

The Face.

Reading a few more books today, for more research purposes, and one wrote about The Face magazine back in the 1980s. I hadn't heard of this magazine before so I decided to have a browse over it and their covers are always so different but so good! Here are a few of my faves.

Derelict.

These are some images of the derelict building (thanks to Sedge) that we will be shooting at on Tues 4th. We will be starting in a bar called CocoTang which is an underground bar so has lots of pipes in the ceiling and brick work etc, which will look lush, along with thinking of a way to try and get the Harley into the bar! And then onto the building for real down and dirty grunge shots.
