Promotional ideas.

Time to discuss promotional ideas that I have started to think about. Firstly, before the launch phase; I've decided to steal Red Bull's trend of spray painting their logo in random places around cities, the pictures below are ones I came across in Nottingham. So the idea would be to spray the attire logo around random places to start getting the name and brand noticed, hopefully this would start a buzz around the word as no one would know what it actually is at this point. Effectively, the sprayed logos would lead somewhere, i.e. the city centre or somewhere around the uni, where vouchers for a free copy of the magazine would be scattered all over the place. I decided to have them scattered around rather than someone handing them out, as I think this carries on the mystery behind the attire brand before the launch. Passers by will hopefully get curious, pick up a voucher/flyer and find that attire is a new magazine being launched!
After the launch, the sprayed logo's of attire will still be placed around various cities and places etc, as a continuation idea, I thought that guys could take pictures of the most random places they find the attire logo and send them into the mag or upload them onto the website and the winner for the most random place they found the logo would win something! For example, a voucher or music/gig tickets etc.

Another pre-launch idea is to go around and ask guys what the word 'attire' means to them. Pictures would be taken of the guys and their quote would be placed with their picture as a feature in the first issue of the magazine. Also for a multi-media idea, the whole process would be filmed and uploaded onto the website as a mini attire video. This means that the word attire becomes a word with more than one meaning and has different connotations for different people, getting them to interact with the attire brand and keep up the buzz about attire before its release. Below is a mock up of asking my flat mate Kieran what the word attire means to him!
